Description: Position is responsible for providing general paralegal support to the Litigation Practice and assisting in the smooth, efficient functioning of the Firm's workflow. Duties will include, but are not to be limited to:
1) assist attorneys and other paralegals with assigned projects; organize, prioritize and effectively manage multiple assignments; assume additional responsibilities as assigned.
2) assist attorneys with litigation cases and/or projects including document organization, review, production, retrieval, and management in either paper or E-discovery format; prepare and maintain document tracking and chain of custody indices for document productions; prepare redaction and privilege logs for document productions; assist attorneys with the preparation of court and federal agency filings; maintain pleadings files; index documents; assist attorneys in preparing for deposition and/or trial; prepare witness binders and exhibits for deposition and/or trial; digest deposition and/or trial transcripts; assist attorneys at deposition and/or trial, as requested.
3) perform legal research including internet, Lexis, Westlaw, and court database searches; research and obtain documents from courts and federal agencies as requested; cite checking and proof reading filings. Numerous other duties are required to provide for the smooth and efficient functioning of the Litigation practice area.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be specifically listed on resume in order to be considered for this position: Bachelors degree required 2 years minimum Paralegal experience required Experience with MS Word, Lexis and Westlaw required Trial experience required
